Zineb is one of LA Opera Chorus’ newest members, joining them for their 23/24 season at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. Zineb will be performing in the double bill of Highway 1 USA and Der Zwerg, featuring the works of composers William Grant Still and Alexander Zemlinksy, under the baton of James Conlon

Soloist at the Source/Filter Music Collective Fundraiser Concert

Zineb will be performing the Minskwomans Aria from Flight by Jonathan Dove, in collaboration with Source/Filter Music Collective Fundraising event.

Source/Filter Music Collective is raising funds for our summer concert. This concert will feature arias, musical theater songs, and folk music from some of Los Angeles' most talented singers, all accompanied by pianist extraordinaire, Abe Fabella.

Tickets are $10 at the door, or you can call the venue to reserve them at (626) 399-0066. We will be serving refreshments, and festivities start at 8pm.

Please come out and support us so that we can put on a concert in the summer of 2023 that will feature two micro-operas, and choral piece by LA composer, Amy Gordon. Help keep local, classical music alive in Los Angeles.

All the Truths We Cannot See: A Chernobyl Story

The USC Thornton School of Music and Uniarts Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy have announced a global partnership to premiere a new opera about the Chernobyl disaster. The new opera, titled All the Truths We Cannot See: A Chernobyl Story, will be premiered in Helsinki in March 2022 followed by the American premiere in Los Angeles in April 2022.

The work, by Finnish composer Uljas Pulkkis with American librettist Glenda Dawn Goss, tells a story of fundamental human conflicts woven into events surrounding the social and environmental disaster caused by the nuclear power plant’s explosion on April 26, 1986. An international cast will feature student performers from both institutions with a production directed and designed by faculty and designers from both countries.

Zineb will be performing the role of Babusya.

USC Vocal Arts and Opera Scenes

USC Vocal Arts and Opera presents scenes from Operas and Musicals.

Zineb will be performing a scene from L’Italiana in Algeri by Gioachino Rossini, as the lead Isabella in a duet with Blake Stevenson as Taddeo, and will also be performing a scene from Giulio Cesare by George Frideric Handel, as Cornelia in a duet with Stephen Pitters as Sesto.

Zineb will also sing as an ensemble member in La belle Hélène by Jacques Offenbach.

The USC Thornton Symphony regularly collaborates with the USC Thornton Opera program and each year presents its New Music for Orchestra concert featuring orchestral works by Thornton student composers.

Zineb will be performing with Daniel Fields, tenor, in a newly composed work for tenor, mezzo and orchestra titled “To The Light” by student composer Alexander Mansour in collaboration with the USC Thornton Symphony.
